Hey, I’m Katelyn.
I’m passionate about bodywork and gut health and have spent years studying them. I started Bodywork Wellness Studio in 2017 solely as a massage practice, but as my interest in injury and it’s impact on full body health peaked and morphed, I became obsessed with gut health. I went BACK to school, begrudgingly, to get a master’s degree in nutrition so I could provide a comprehensive approach to health to all my patients.
Whether you are here for massage therapy, or gut health, welcome! I’m so happy you found me :)
My practice has morphed over the years as I acquire more certifications and learn more about the human body, but my true passions have always been in injury treatment massage, sports nutrition and digestion health.
I love working with patients as to get them back to the activities they love the most. Whether my clients are dealing with digestive problems or fascial misalignment, I like problem solving and finding solutions that make an enormous difference in the quality of life for each and every one of my clients. As an athlete myself who has struggled with injury, bonking, never ending fatigue and digestive related issues, I understand where my clients are coming from and do my absolute best to stay up on current research and modalities to provide the best care possible.
My journey with massage and nutrition began when I broke my foot when I was 17. After a year of a broken foot, my body was out of whack and it took a lot of massage to feel in alignment again. I became fascinated with facia and it's interconnectedness with in our bodies. I have catered my education to be more specific to the pelvic region because this area effects the entire body and can be very complicated and create long lasting and inefficient movement patterns. It eventually became clear that dysfunction in the pelvis's movement patterns can also effect digestive health and that realization launched me into years of research and learning about digestive health disorders. I'm fascinated with digestive health disorders like IBS, SIBO, and chronic constipation because they are unique to each individual and are like puzzle pieces that need to fit together just right in order to find a meaningful solution and create an action plan. I love how unique each body is with both nutrition, massage and coaching which has driven me to create The BodyWork Wellness Studio.

My office is in Fairhaven! I am located above the Iron Rooster Bakery (yum!). To enter the building, walk through the beautiful front door next to the bakery and walk up the stairs and take a left at the top. I am the second door on left. It’s easy to find, there are only 2 doors!

My style of massage is a full body approach to a symptom. I assess posture, then symptoms, then start working to unwind fascial patterns. I use cupping, deep tissue massage, visceral manipulation, neural muscular techniques, and tuning forks.
